This philosophy stands in contrast to the trend today in media music which is to instead rely on popular songs to "connect" with the audience.
Research shows that, although this strategy may initially attract the listener's attention, ultimately it dilutes and distracts from your purpose, and falls short of your goal to "brand" your message in the mind of your audience.
The result? ...a missed opportunity ...and money wasted.
If your project budget does not allow for custom music, a great alternative solution is to utilize Royalty Free Production Music. Over the past 15 years I have created over 1400 tracks of royalty free production music. My premier production music library, Crank City Music, was launched in 1997 and sold to Jupitermedia in 2006. I then created a follow-up library Sonic Imagery, now available through various distributors on the web.
